Genesis - Sebastiao Salgado and WE: Defining Stories

Photograph Exhibitions

National Museum of Singapore

There are currently 2 free photo exhibitions running at the National Museum of Singapore. We visited yesterday and both exhibitions are more than worth a visit!

Genesis - Sebastiao Salgado

You may have read about this one or even seen it elsewhere in the world. These are a collection of 245 truly amazing black and white images taken between 2004 - 2011. I am embarrassed to add my iPhone "snaps" of just a couple here to give you just a taster of this show.

If you enjoy photography or even if you just a appreciated a beautiful image this is an exhibition you will not want to miss!

This exhibition runs from 26 April - 27 July 2014
10:00 - 18:00

WE: Defining Stories

This exhibition is interesting and informative not just to Singaporeans but to anyone interested in Singapore's history. The photographs on display here are from the 1950s up to last year, 2013. They are split into 6 sections - Merdeka, Home, Challenges, Heroes, So Singaporean and finally Our Stories. The exhibition is presented by both the National Museum and The Straits Times.

As you leave you can chose your favourite photo.

This exhibition runs from 27 April - 31 Aug 2014
10:00 - 18:00
